Staff from ACT Corrective Services, organised a premier Charity Bike Run on 13 and 14 February 2010. The event was hailed as a great success and planning for next years event is already underway. The Charity Bike Run raised an impressive total of $6,500 cash for the charity . In addition, a donation of 20 seats on a whale watching trip and Montague Island, worth $4000, was also contributed to enable the Foundation to take the kids out for an adventure cruise.
Based on the success of the first Charity Bike run, Staff of ACT Corrective Services have organised the next run which will be held on 12 and 13 February 2011 Largely due to the experience gained from the 2010 event, the enthusiasm and commitment has grown, to ensure this year’s event will be even bigger and better. The support from sponsors will, as always, mean that the big winners in this continue to be the kids from the Children’s Starlight Foundation.
